Position: Furniture Assembler (Stockport)

  • Type: Temporary with possible permanent opportunities
  • Schedule: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8AM–4:30PM; Overtime Available)

  • Pay: £11.50 to £13.00 per hour (DOE, plus overtime & incentives)

What You Will Do: Key Responsibilities

As a Furniture Assembler with Team Temping’s client, your day will offer variety and satisfaction, allowing you to:

  • Assemble flat-pack and custom furniture components according to drawings, plans, or instructions.
  • Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to fit, fasten, and finish items including tables, chairs, cabinets, wardrobes, desks, and shelving units.
  • Quality-check finished products to ensure all items meet required standards of appearance and function.
  • Follow health and safety protocols to maintain a tidy, organised, and hazard-free workspace.
  • Package and prepare finished products for delivery, including wrapping and labelling as directed.
  • Work as part of a productive team, supporting co-workers and learning from more experienced assemblers.
  • Communicate with supervisors regarding inventory needs, completion timelines, and potential assembly issues.
  • Contribute ideas for process improvement and help streamline production.
