Key Responsibilities & Daily Duties

• Delivering High-Quality Patient Care: Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualised care plans, administer medications safely, and monitor patient progress. This includes providing compassionate care in high-pressure environments such as A&E, ICU, or acute medical wards.
• Clinical Leadership & Supervision: For senior roles, you may be responsible for supervising junior staff, student nurses, and healthcare assistants. This involves mentoring, delegating tasks appropriately, and ensuring the nursing team adheres to the highest clinical standards and NMC guidelines.
• Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Work seamlessly with doctors, consultants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers. Effective communication is key to coordinating patient care, participating in ward rounds, and contributing to case conferences.
• Maintaining Accurate Documentation: Ensure all patient records, care plans, and incident reports are completed accurately, confidentially, and in a timely manner using both digital (e.g., EPIC, Cerner) and paper-based systems as required by the placement.
• Adherence to Safety & Compliance: Strictly follow all Health and Safety, COSHH, and infection control protocols. Maintain your own NMC registration and ensure practice is always in line with the NMC Code of Conduct, participating in clinical audits and governance activities.
• Patient & Family Advocacy & Support: Provide emotional support, clear information, and education to patients and their families, ensuring they are involved in decisions about their care and understand treatment pathways.

Essential Requirements & Qualifications

• Valid NMC Registration (RGN or RMN): You must hold current, unrestricted registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Registered General Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse. Proof of registration and PIN number is mandatory.
• Proven Clinical Experience: Minimum of 6-12 months post-registration experience within the UK healthcare system. Experience in acute settings, elderly care, mental health wards, or specialist clinics is highly desirable for our London WC2 placements.
• Right to Work in the UK: Must have valid documentation confirming eligibility to work in the United Kingdom. We can provide guidance on visa sponsorship for certain long-term roles, subject to candidate suitability.
