- Order Picking and Packing: Accurately pick products from shelves using RF scanners or pick lists, preparing orders for dispatch to meet strict daily targets. You'll be responsible for ensuring the correct items, quantities, and packaging are used for each customer order, minimizing errors to maintain a 99.8% accuracy rate. This involves working with a variety of goods, from small electronics to bulkier items, requiring careful handling and attention to detail.
- Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload delivery vehicles using manual handling techniques and equipment like pallet trucks and forklifts (counterbalance or reach). You will coordinate with drivers, check delivery notes against physical stock, and report any discrepancies or damages immediately. Efficient turnaround of vehicles is critical to keep the supply chain moving, especially during peak periods.
- Stock Control and Replenishment: Conduct regular stock checks, report low inventory levels, and replenish picking faces from bulk storage areas. You'll be involved in cycle counts and annual stocktakes, ensuring the warehouse management system (WMS) accurately reflects physical stock. This role requires a methodical approach to maintain organisation and prevent stock-outs.
- Health, Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain excellent housekeeping standards, ensuring work areas, aisles, and fire exits are clear and safe. You must adhere to all site-specific health and safety policies, including safe manual handling, correct PPE usage, and reporting any hazards or near-misses. A proactive attitude towards safety is non-negotiable.
- Use of MHE & Technology: Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) such as powered pallet trucks (PPT) and, if licensed, forklifts. Use handheld RF scanners and warehouse management systems to receive, locate, and dispatch goods, ensuring all transactions are logged in real-time for full traceability.

Must-Have Experience
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Operative, Picker/Packer, or in a similar logistics role.
