Your first day will focus primarily on induction, training, and getting familiar with the warehouse environment. Don't expect to work at full speed immediately – nobody does.

Arrival and Check-In (typically 30 minutes): You'll arrive and meet your supervisor or warehouse manager. We'll have arranged a specific contact person, so you'll know who to ask for. You'll sign in, confirm your documentation, and potentially complete any final paperwork.

Health and Safety Induction (typically 1-2 hours): This covers emergency procedures, fire exits, first aid facilities, hazard identification, and general site rules. It might seem tedious, but it genuinely matters – warehouses are serious about safety. Pay attention and ask questions about anything unclear.

Specific Role Training (typically 2-4 hours): You'll be introduced to the specific tasks involved in stock replenishment. This might involve operating equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, scanning systems), learning the warehouse layout, understanding picking procedures, or learning quality checking processes. You'll be paired with an experienced colleague who'll show you the ropes. Don't hesitate to ask questions – everyone was new once, and experienced workers understand that completely.

PPE and Equipment (ongoing): You'll be issued with any necessary Personal Protective Equipment – safety shoes, high-visibility vests, gloves, hairnets, or protective eyewear depending on the warehouse. All provided at no cost to you.

Break Routines: You'll learn where breaks happen, what food facilities are available, and general routines around mealtimes and rest periods.

Meet Your Team: You'll be introduced to your immediate team members and supervisors. Most warehouses are genuinely friendly places where people look out for each other.

Practical Tips for Your First Day:
