Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, promoting all areas of child development.
- Provide high-quality personal care, including feeding, nappy changing, and supporting toilet training, ensuring each child's individual needs are met with sensitivity and respect.
- Conduct ongoing observational assessments of children's progress, maintaining accurate and detailed learning journals and contributing to formal progress reports for parents and carers.
- Foster a safe, secure, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child feels valued, building strong, trusting relationships with children and their families.
- Work collaboratively as part of a nursery team, participating in staff meetings, sharing best practice, and supporting colleagues to ensure the smooth daily running of the room and setting.
- Adhere rigorously to all safeguarding, health & safety, and confidentiality policies, acting as a key person for a small group of children and being the primary point of contact for their parents.

- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce (CYPW) or equivalent Early Years qualification (e.g., NNEB, CACHE).
- Proven, recent experience working as a Nursery Nurse, Early Years Practitioner, or similar role within a UK childcare setting.
- In-depth, practical knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework, safeguarding procedures, and Ofsted requirements.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and multi-disciplinary teams.
